For a Better Tomorrow in Action: Killam Development Sponsors Empty Bowls 14 for Hunger Relief.

Laredo, Texas (April 14, 2023) – Killam Development, a local company committed to community development for a better tomorrow, is proud to announce its Silver $2,500 sponsorship of the South Texas Food Bank’s Empty Bowls 14 fundraiser for hunger relief. The sponsorship will make a significant impact on the food bank’s ability to continue its critical mission of fighting hunger in the eight-county service area.

The South Texas Food Bank’s mission is to alleviate hunger in the area by collecting and distributing food through partner agencies and programs while creating awareness and educating the community about the realities of hunger. The Empty Bowls XIV fundraiser is a vital event that will allow the organization to continue its hunger-relief efforts in Webb, Zapata, Jim Hogg, Val Verde, Maverick, Dimmit, Kinney, and Starr counties.

Killam Development’s commitment to the community is clear through its generous donation and sponsorship of this event. We understand the importance of supporting the community and giving back to those in need.

The Empty Bowls XIV fundraiser will feature a western-themed take on the traditional event, including an indoor and outdoor concert, silent and live auctions, and an exciting country music lineup featuring Tracy Lawrence, Clay Hollis, Matt and the Herdsmen, and Isaac Jacob Band on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the Webb County Fairgrounds. All proceeds from the concert will benefit the food bank’s hunger-relief efforts in South Texas.

Killam Development is proud to be a part of this important fundraiser and continue to be a part of the fight against hunger in the South Texas area.
