Mission, Texas — Killam Development, in partnership with the Mission Economic Development Corporation (Mission EDC) and The Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce, proudly celebrated the ribbon cutting of the Sharyland Business Park on Wednesday, marking a major milestone in industrial development for the Rio Grande Valley.
The event brought together community leaders, elected officials, business partners, and regional stakeholders to commemorate the opening of the 175-acre industrial park, an investment designed to expand opportunities in international trade, logistics, manufacturing, cold storage, and distribution.
The park is strategically located near the Anzalduas International Bridge, Pharr International Bridge, has direct access to Interstate Highway 2 via the Anzalduas Highway, and sits just 8 miles from McAllen International Airport. Lots range from 4 to 25 acres and are available for lease now. The park is positioned as a premier hub for companies seeking connectivity and efficiency on both sides of the border.
The project is expected to generate approximately 2.5 million square feet of industrial space, which will represent about $275 million of investment – spurring more jobs, innovation, and long-term prosperity across the RGV.
Killam Development, a private, family-owned business serving South Texas and the border region for more than a century, emphasized the importance of strategic public-private collaboration in bringing this project to life. The company expressed deep appreciation for Mission’s exceptional partnership and strong working relationships.
“We’re proud to invest in Mission because of the amazing people, culture, and opportunity,” said Cliffe Killam, President of Killam Development. “The City of Mission has been an outstanding partner, and together we are creating the infrastructure, connectivity, and long-term vision needed to support growth across the Rio Grande Valley.”
Killam Development is also the largest landowner surrounding the Anzalduas International Bridge and reaffirmed its commitment to working collaboratively to ensure the region remains competitive and poised for continued expansion in global trade and manufacturing.
The company extended its gratitude to Congressman Henry Cuellar for his support and dedication to Mission EDC, which helped make this development possible.
